Phil Heath, A.K.A “The Gift” is a six-time My Olympia champion from 2011 to 2016, including being crowned at the Mr Olympia’s 50th anniversary in 2014. He’s tied with Dorian Yates record, almost tied with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 7-time record, and close to Ronnie Coleman’s 8 wins of the Mr. Olympia.

However, things weren’t easy for Phil’s life in the beginning, he often had to raise himself as his parents were busy working full-time jobs. This helped Phil to learn the skills necessary to work hard in life and keep moving forward towards his goals. Phillip Jerrod Heath was born in Seattle, Washington on December 18, 1979, he is an IFBB Professional Bodybuilder and 2 time Mr. Olympia Winner. In his younger years Heath played basketball at the University of Denver which turned secured his scholarship. Inspired by his rewards from basketball Heath looked for his next challenge.
In 2002 he decided to take up bodybuilding and developed extremely quick, going from 185lbs to 215lbs in no time with just 6% bodyfat. In 2003 Heath entered his first competition The Rocky Mountain NPC USA Championship where he won the overall title.
In 2005 he won again at the NPC USA Championships, this allowed him to turn pro and compete as an IFBB Pro. Heath was a natural by now and went on to win both The Colorado Pro Championships and The New York Pro Championship in his first year. In 2007 he competed in the Arnold Classic where he took place fifth, in a very close contest. This qualified him to compete in the 2007 Mr. Olympia contest, although he felt he needed more improvement and decided not to compete.
However, this turned out to be a good move for him as he went on to win the Ironman Pro show in 2008 and placed 2nd after Dexter Jackson at the Arnold classic. In 2008 he placed 3rd at the Mr. Olympia and became the first rookie to place in the top 3 since Kevin Levrone in 1992 finishing second and Flex Wheeler in 1993.
Heath caught a stomach bug the day before the pre-judging of the 2009 Mr Olympia contest. He was around 10lbs lighter for the contest an ended up with 5th place. He came back to the Mr. Olympia the following year in 2010 and took 2nd place behind Jay Cutler.
Today he is the current and 2 time Mr. Olympia winner a sponsored Team MuscleTech athlete.
