Eleonora "Lele" Pons Maronese (born June 25, 1996)[1] is a Venezuelan-American internet personality and actress most notable for her YouTube videos.Pons is managed by Shots Studios, the company that also produces her YouTube content.[2] She posts YouTube internet videos for her over 5 million subscribers.In 2015, Time magazine included her in its list "The most influential teens". In 2016, Time included her among the "30 Most Influential People on the Internet".In 2017, Forbes magazine included her in the part of its "30 under 30" list in the categories of entertainment, immigrants and youngest. Lele Pons ranks No. 8 in Forbes' Top Influencers of 2017 in the entertainment industry.


EARLY LIFE
Pons was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the U.S. at age five. She is an only child. She lived in Miami, Florida. She finished school from Miami Country Day High School in 2015 and moved to Los Angeles, California. Her father, Luis Pons, is an architect and her mother, Anna Maronese, is a doctor[4]. Pons' native language is Spanish and she also speaks English and Italian. Many of Pons' videos consist of practical jokes on herself or her friends, classmates and family. She mostly uses physical comedy, which she says is her favorite type of comedy.



CAREER
Pons began her career on video platform Vine. After the six second video sharing app Vine shut down Pons started the platform YouTube. She currently has 5.4 Million subscribers.Pons appeared in the first 7 minutes of the second season of the American horror TV show Scream in 2016. She had a role in Joey Graceffa's Youtube Red  series, Escape the night She was casted as "The Hustler".Pons partnered with Shots studios to create videos and launched her YouTube channel in 2016.
She would then go on to being one of the main roles in Marshmello's "Summer" as his skate date.Her book Surviving High School, co-written with New York times bestselling author Melissa de la cruz was released in April 2016.In 2016, she starred in Blink-182s “She’s Out Of Her Mind” video with Hannah Stockings and Vale Genta.She appeared in the romance movie The Space Between us as one of Tulsa's classmates, the movie was released in February 2017.In February 2017, it was announced that Pons partnered with CoverGirl to be their Brand Ambassador.Dolce & Gabbana invited Lele Pons to walk in their Milan Fashion Week show on February 26, 2017.Lele Pons and Juanpa Zurita, a Latin American digital star, hosted Latin America’s 2017 MTV Millennial Awards.Pons was honored at the 2017 National Association of Latino Independent Producers’ Latino Media Awards with the Digital Trailblazer Award.

SOCIAL MEDIA GROWTH

Pons was introduced to Vine at the age of 16 by one of her friends, stating, "I started with my friends, and I started becoming good". "At first it was just being really creative—it wasn't even funny stuff". Pons would become one of the app's most prominent users, becoming the first user to surpass 1 billion video loops. As of September 1, 2016, Pons' account remains the most looped of all time with over 16.7 billion loops. In addition, Pons' account ranks within the top five in terms of followers, with over 10.6 million as of March 14, 2016.Pons is credited as being a creator of the phrase "Do It For The Vine".
Pons' Vines have been met with positive reception; in 2014, she earned a Teen Choice Awards nomination for "Choice Viner" as well as a Streamy Awards nomination for "Viner of the Year, and a subsequent Shorty Awards nomination for Vine Star of the Year in 2015. Additionally, Aol.com included Pons on their list of the "10 Most Entertaining Latino Stars on Vine".Following up again with her social image, Pons also has a YouTube channel with over 4 million subscribers. She posts short comedy skits every 2 or so weeks.Pons was named one of 2016’s 30 Most Influential People on the Internet by Time Magazine.Pons became a member of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Celebrities class of 2017. Pons was ranked number 8 on Forbes' Top Influencers of 2017 in the Entertainment Industry.
